A design and production office run by third-year students specialising in digital design from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Our team’s core skills and capabilities include service design, UX/UI design, branding, coding, accessibility, critical thinking, and social media marketing.
Digital Media students, or as our friends call us, Dimus (derived from our Finnish name). For us, collaboration with companies are golden opportunities to learn the industry standards. Also, it’s a great way of putting our knowledge to the test before officially stepping into the workforce. There is no quicker way of learning than by doing.
We Dimus are a tightly-knit community. It is this sense of community that gives us the strength to accomplish great things even in short periods of time. Our team packs a bunch of diamond-hard doers who have waited a long time for the coming projects.
Our class consists of about twenty people. We select among us a project manager or two. Their task is to take the leading role in our office and manage our operations. Each project gets a team which consists of 3-4 people whose primary task is to carry out the project together with the client. We accept roughly 10-15 separate projects each fall.
Us students do not operate entirely alone. Our senior lecturers are involved by mentoring us from behind the scenes throughout the journey.
Notio Design operates mostly during the fall. However, we are constantly on the lookout for new collaborations regardless of the season.
Learning about working life skills is one of the cornerstones of our degree program from the very first year of our studies until the time we graduate. This way, we graduate as multi-talented designers who already have real experience by the time we officially enter the workforce.
